Our instructors
Des has over 15 years experience in Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba and 10 years teaching all levels from total beginners and upwards. He has trained across the world under teachers in Australia, USA and Europe, including bachata pioneers Jorjet Alcocer, Juan Ruiz, Ataca & La Alemana, and Daniel & Desiree. He believes that dance should be accessible to everybody and is a language that anyone can learn. His passion is teaching people to discover their connection to music and starting them off on their own dance journeys!
Dee has been actively dancing and teaching for the last 6 years. Her love of dance started with Cuban Salsa. She was part of the competition team representing Western Australia in the 2018 Australian Rueda Championship. The team placed first and Dee was awarded the Best Female Dancer in the Professional category. Her love for music exposed her to various other dance styles such as Bachata and Kizomba. She believes that dance is a beautiful form of communication and anyone should be able to express themselves artistically. Her journey into the dance world has been breathtaking and she is excited to be able to help others on their own amazing discovery of dance and music.
